Nestled along the Ourcq Canal, in the very heart of Parc de la Villette (Paris 19th), Jardin21 has reopened for the 2026 season, from April 2 to September 26, 2026. This 1,600-square-metre third-place—where urban gardening, celebration, and artistic creation converge—kicks off the season with a free, inclusive, and festive spirit, welcoming audiences of all kinds.
For this final week of May, the heatwave is taking hold across France. People are seeking refuge at Jardin21: the cool shade under our fruit trees, the sun for those who want to catch some rays, and the sunsets, with tables spilling out later and later.
The lineup is expanding with fresh happenings: a book club, a screening, a youth-focused event, a flea market, and samba. Alongside these new offerings, the familiar formats return: Check and Mates, Talkin’ All That Jazz, yoga, the comedy club, the blind test, and, of course, a host of DJ sets that keep the month buzzing.
Wednesday, May 27, the garden will transform into an outdoor yoga studio with a class from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., a perfect way to reset and unwind at the end of the day.
At 7:30 p.m., the open-airJeunes Pousses takes the stage. Each month, Jardin21 welcomes rising talents who, often without equipment or real visibility, seize the open-air setting to share their picks with the audience. For this edition, Efflam, hedi.n.foggy and sara_labb trade places on the decks, blending house, groove and fresh energy for a night that’s clearly elevated by a culture of sound.
Thursday, May 28, Bad Habits takes over Jardin21 for a night of house, disco, and electro-influenced vibes; the collective keeps the overgrown space dancing until the early hours, turning this bad habit into the standout moment of the week.
Friday, May 29, In Aerem invites you to Jardin21 for a lush evening blending minimal house, microhouse, progressive touches and electro. The collective presents a demanding musical journey, with DJ Subprimes b2b Alan Manero (9pm–midnight), Emergency Lou b2b Aurore (midnight–2am) and Stan closing (2am–4am).
Saturday, May 29: two free gardening workshops available with registration : “Herbarium: harvesting plants and preparing them for drying” from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., followed by “Propagating aromatic cuttings” at 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. A perfect moment to get your hands dirty, connect with living nature, and share a green, convivial day.
These offerings, free to join with registration, are open to all and reflect the venue’s commitment to sharing simple, hands-on practices around living things.
Krapfen lands at Jardin21 for a full day of Groove Garden, pairing a creator’s market with non-stop DJ sets from noon to 4 a.m. In the afternoon, visitors wander among artist and maker stalls from every corner, then the music takes over, with four artists from across France on the decks — more headliners to be announced very soon…
Sunday, May 30, Jardin21 hosts the first edition of Village des Assos, conceived by La Friche Voie Engagée. This free event shines a light on 16 associations across seven themes (culture, art, education, sport, health, media, civic engagement), featuring stalls, creative workshops led by La Friche Créative, an inspiring talk with Ghett’uP & Voie Engagée, and informal encounters throughout the afternoon in a space designed to feel like a true hub of life and collaboration.
From 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM, Jardin21 hosts Court’Échelle, a festival of student short films that spotlights creativity and the question of motherhood in cinema. On the program: on the Rooftop, a marketplace of creations and workshops in screen printing and dried flowers from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM, then, in the Palmeraie, a roundtable on motherhood in cinema at 5:30 PM, followed by an outdoor screening “MÈRE(S) AU CINÉMA” from 7 PM to 9:30 PM, with a dialogue between the audience and the directors.
Between celebrations, creation, gardening, yoga and moments of sharing, this month perfectly captures the spirit of Jardin21—a hybrid, joyful and welcoming space where people come to dance as much as they learn, unwind or feed their curiosity.
