Archéo'Fab: craft workshops and archaeological discoveries in Saint-Denis (93)

Archéo'Fab is a free archaeological event combining crafts and heritage from June 13 to 15, 2025. With workshops, concerts, screenings and meetings, local heritage can be discovered in a festive and participatory way!

From June 13 to 15, 2025, the Fabrique de la Ville in Saint-Denis will be transformed into a veritable living laboratory forArchéo'Fab, as part of the European Archaeology Days. This free event, open to all, offers a festive and interactive immersion in local archaeological heritage, combining scientific knowledge, artistic creations and participatory experimentation.

Visitors will be able to take part in medieval craft workshops such as pottery, weaving and stone-cutting, watch demonstrations of ancient skills and the Visiteurs screening with commentary by archaeologists, and enjoy concerts ranging from the klezmer group YiddishSounds to the Bretons de Saint-Denis, via DJ Garance Shinance. Conferences on the theme of "Archaeology and Current Affairs" will highlight the impact of archaeology on our understanding of the present.

There are also areas dedicated to younger visitors, with workshops specially designed for children and babies. It's also an opportunity to discover the rich archaeological heritage of Saint-Denis, through exhibitions presenting objects discovered during local excavations, guided tours of scaffolded houses, and meetings with archaeologists. And don't forget to sample recipes from the Middle Ages!

Saturday June 14, 8:30pm:artist Venus de Mai will dazzle you at dusk with a show in the air, dressed in her long toga, with Saint-Denis LGBTQI+.
