Melun fête son brie 2025: the must-attend cheese event in Melun (77)

Brie is a big deal in Seine-et-Marne. And for good reason: this is the region from which this famous soft, perfectly circular cheese originates. While Meaux is its undisputed capital, with a Maison dedicated to the cheese within the town walls, the rest of the Pays de Brie (which, it's true, doesn't take its name by chance) also celebrates its culinary heritage with numerous events devoted to the king of cheeses.

Melun, in the Seine-et-Marne department, is also celebrating brie at the Melun fête son brie, an event taking place this Saturday, October 4, 2025. To mark the occasion, the town has organized tastings and brought in a number of producers, in a convivial atmosphere reminiscent of a large Brie market.
