It’s never a dull moment at the Grand Palais! Day or night, this iconic Parisian landmark pulses with a lively calendar of exhibitions, fairs, performances, and DJ nights held beneath its stunning glass vault, drawing all eyes to its breathtaking architecture.

In January, the Grand Palais offers a full calendar of events, as it does every year. But if there's one occasion that should attract the attention of culture enthusiasts, it’s this: the Nights of Reading are returning to Paris! On the weekend of January 24 and 25, 2026, curious visitors of all ages are invited to explore a variety of artistic and cultural activities, held not only at the Grand Palais but also across numerous other notable venues.

So, what do we actually do during these Nights of Reading? Well, we read, of course. But that's not all. This cultural event, organized by the National Book Center, invites us to explore the world of books from every angle. We play, draw, attend exhibitions or performances, meet writers and artists, go on treasure hunts... There’s something for every age and every type of reader.

    Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of contemporary theater with Les Tréteaux de France during the Night of Reading, for a weekend! Interactive performances, specially designed for children aged 5 and up, invite families to read, listen, and share stories together. For the 10th edition of the Night of Reading, the Grand Palais hosts the National Drama Center Les Tréteaux de France with a unique and thought-provoking theatrical program. Audiences of all ages will discover contemporary stories told in a language that speaks to today, through engaging and sensitive performances.
    The program is based on the KiLLT! – Ki Lira Le Texte? initiative, encouraging viewers to become active participants in reading while exploring the stage and theatrical performance in innovative ways. Thanks to these creative staging techniques, audiences are immersed in the story, join in reading aloud, and connect emotionally with the narratives—making each show a vibrant shared experience.
