A new forested space opens its doors in the heart of the Val-de-Marne, with free activities to celebrate its inauguration this Saturday, June 20, 2026! The Domaine régional du Piple, a 110-hectare forest, is now open year-round for bucolic strolls, but this Saturday you can enjoy guided tours, creative workshops, games for the whole family, a look at wildlife, and meet the Île-de-France Nature teams working to safeguard this remarkable site.
Acquired by the Île-de-France Region in February 2025 and closed to the public for decades, this estate, part of the grand massif forestier de l’Arc boisé, sits near the RER A, just steps from Boissy-Saint-Léger station. Classified for its ecological value, the site hosts a wealth of animal and plant species, several of which are protected at the regional level, in the heart of tree-lined paths, open meadows, discreet ponds and wetland zones.
All day long, kids and grown-ups will be able to discover the richness of the site without having to register in advance, thanks to a playful program in the heart of nature. On the menu: insect and dragonfly watching, nature and wildlife-themed games, making clay animal tracks, cyanotype art workshops, seed discovery and sowing basics, a makeup booth, and guided walks with naturalists and forest enthusiasts.
Note: the entrance is at either end of the Allée de la Pompadour in Boissy-Saint-Léger.
