La Fête des Jardins returns to Paris on Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27, 2026 for two days devoted to urban nature. Across the city’s districts, parks, squares and gardens open their doors to the public for free, offering activities that showcase their plant heritage and the professionals who care for it daily.
Gardening workshops, gatherings, games, tours, creative activities and biodiversity observations form a program that varies from location to location. For families, it’s a chance to introduce children to gardening and help them recognize a few common species. Touch, feel, observe or handle: many activities emphasize a hands-on, playful approach to nature.
The meeting also offers an opportunity to exchange with the gardeners, arborists and biodiversity actors, who share tips and know-how with visitors. From birds to insects, and including trees and aromatic herbs, Parisian nature reveals itself from a variety of angles. It’s a chance to look at the small green spaces of everyday life with new eyes.
In the the 14th arrondissement, the Fête des Jardins is shared between two neighboring spaces: the Ferdinand Brunot Square and the Aspirant Dunand Square. Separated by Mouton-Duvernet Street and just moments from the 14th’s town hall, they form a verdant enclave in the heart of the district.
The program puts children and sensory experiences front and center. Visitors can try their hand at repotting, create a kokedama, discover birds with the LPO, or get up close to the world of bees and beekeeping. Several small activities also invite you to recognize trees by their leaves, to smell aromatic and fragrant plants, or to handle a variety of natural textures.
