Gardens Festival 2026 at Paris Farm: animals, the vegetable garden, and family-friendly activities

The 2026 Garden Festival moves to La Ferme de Paris, in the Bois de Vincennes, on September 26 and 27. Families can meet the farmer and the animals, explore the pond, pick produce in the vegetable garden, and enjoy biodiversity-themed games throughout the weekend.

The Fête des Jardins returns to Paris on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September 2026, with a host of free activities staged across the capital’s green spaces. Parisian parks, squares, gardens and woods become over two days a natural playground where both kids and adults can discover nature, and meet the experts who cultivate, maintain and protect it.

Across the various sites, gardening workshops, biodiversity monitoring, hands-on activities, games, tours and encounters help visitors grasp, in practical terms, how urban ecosystems work. For children, discovery centers on observation and experimentation: spotting a plant, understanding the role of a pond, learning about vegetables grown in Île-de-France, or watching animals.

The event highlights the rich diversity of nature present in Paris, from small neighborhood squares to the two large woods. It also offers a chance to explore places that specialize in urban agriculture, sustainable food systems, or biodiversity preservation. And for families who prefer animals to flowerbeds, one address ticks many boxes: La Ferme de Paris.

Located within the Bois de Vincennes, the Ferme de Paris is a municipal educational farm dedicated to urban agriculture and environmentally friendly practices. It features crops, an orchard, and farm animals, in a setting that makes it possible to observe the tangible links between farming and biodiversity.

During the Garden Festival, children can join the farmer for the feeding and the animals' return to their pens: meet at 4:00 PM with the goats and sheep, then at 5:30 PM by the poultry yard.
