Two very different worlds in one and the same address: this is the strong new concept to be discovered urgently in the capital's 1st arrondissement.
Officially inaugurated on April 20, 2017, Ostrea and Perdition both occupy No. 60 rue de l'Arbre Sec. While the former is a convivial sea bar featuring, in particular, Marennes-Oléron oysters, the latter hides in the basement and offers a fine selection of cocktails, all in an atmosphere inspired by the Roaring Twenties.
But first let's stay in the Sea Bar Ostrea. With its iodized decor, this first level invites you to sample carefully selected oysters.

Three calibers of oysters from the Marennes-Oléron basin are also on offer. Those with big or small appetites can also satisfy their taste buds with a selection of rillettes and sardines from Maison JC David, taramas, smoked salmon à la ficelle or a carpaccio of smoked wild tuna...
To accompany these appetizers, Ostrea unveils a fine wine list, to be sipped by the glass or bottle. Among the references are a Sancerre from Domaine Thiriot, a Sauvignon from La Petite Perriere, a Corsican Patrimonio from Nicolas Mariotti-Bindi...
A closer look at the Sea Bar walls reveals excerpts from Baudelaire's L'Homme et la Mer. But look even closer, and you'll discover that one of the walls opens up to take you... into Perdition's famous hidden bar!
Once you've climbed down the steps, you can't help but admire this restored cellar with its historic 17th-century stonework!
Styled in reference to the 1930s, the Perdition cocktail bar is awe-inspiring, with a central bar, comfortable seating, candlelit coffee tables and, of course, clever drinks.
Concocted by Chef Barmaid Anaïs Teulier (Hôtel Prince de Galles, 25th hour/UC 61...), these cocktails invite you to travel with unique creations based on different spirits.
Try the " Parisian French Cancan " with Fino Sherry, whisky, apricot cream, Noilly Prat and vanilla bitter, or the " Juliette à Tokyo " with gin, sparkling sake, strawberry, lemon, Matcha green tea, truffle oil and strawberry soy espuma.
Discover " Le Temps des Secrets " with yellow chartreuse, grapefruit, mezcal, ginger, rosemary and Mediterranean tonic, or one of our alcohol-free creative cocktails like " Moulin Rouge " (strawberry, pink raspberry cordial, lemon, cranberry juice and Thai basil).
In short, whether you opt for the Sea Bar Ostrea or the Perdition cocktail bar, or both, we guarantee you won't be disappointed by this wonderful journey through time and space!
