Because the concept of the hidden bar is based on secrecy and mystery, we're not going to tell you too much about the exact location of Secret 8.
It's nestled in the legendary Buddha-Bar Paris. This bar-within-a-bar invites you to enjoy a true cocktail experience, with 10 creative cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, as beautiful as they are delicious.
Tasted in magnificent, original glassware sourced from the four corners of the globe, these skilful beverages are concocted by Chef Barman Régis Celabe in collaboration with Matthias Giroud.
On the menu? The vegetal " #Nolimit " made with gin, pea reduction and Japanese Sansho berries, lime and coconut water, or the more floral " Butterfly Requiem " made with Prosecco, elderflower liqueur with combawa essential oil, yellow lemon and pomegranate.
Behind this unique new venue are Tarja Visan, founder of the Buddha-Bar concept, and Mareva Essia, founder of the Tigre Blanc Paris group.
Together, these two women wanted to create a place that felt like their own: a new cocktail-bar experience, with ambience and music inspired by the Anglo-Saxon and American culture they both enjoy.
But be warned, to be lucky enough to push open the doors of Secret 8, you have to get the password in addition to booking by phone. How do you do this? Answer a riddle available on the Secret 8 instagram account (Secret8bybuddhabar). Once you've found the riddle, it's up to you to decipher it and discover the password, which you'll need to give when you make your reservation.
