The Théâtre du Châtelet isn’t just to be discovered from the auditorium. Until June 7, then from July 12 to September 21, 2026, it rises higher with the Rooftop Nijinsky, a secret terrace perched atop the building.
The venue isn’t entirely new to night owls: before this new format, it housed the Joséphine Club, a more intimate and festive spot, conceived as a club perched behind the scenes of the theater. With the Rooftop Nijinsky, the concept widens. Now you can drop by in the morning for a coffee, lunch with a view of Paris’s rooftops, extend the afternoon with a café time, or linger into the evening for cocktails and DJ sets.
From the terrace, the view opens up to Notre-Dame de Paris, the Saint-Jacques Tower, and the rooftops of central Paris. The kind of setting that makes you want to order a drink "just for the view"—and then stay longer than you planned.
Designed as a hub for life, open from morning until the wee hours, the Rooftop Nijinsky offers a continuous service from 10am to 1am: breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and evening tapas—with vegetarian options—along with a Sunday brunch on reservation. The menu is by Thomas Cherbit, chef at Nessia restaurant (Paris 3e), who has also cooked in the kitchens of Le Pré Catelan and Lasserre, two Parisian institutions.
At the bar, cocktails are available in small or large formats, with prices ranging from €9 to €17. From 8 p.m., the atmosphere shifts into a higher gear. DJ sets every night until 2 a.m., along with performances, dancers and live musicians depending on the schedule.

Looking to enjoy a cocktail while catching some great music? Whether it's a waterside terrace, a Latin-inspired spot, or a quirky venue, discover Paris’s most lively and musical terraces! Expect energetic venues where you can party all summer long, grooving to live concerts and DJ sets. [Read more]
The rooftop will also host World Cup watch parties, reservation required, with two large screens set up between the terrace and the indoor area.
With room for about 150 people outside, the terrace could fill up quickly, even though spots are regularly refreshed as the evening goes on. Note that a reservation does not automatically guarantee an outdoor table. Good news nonetheless: the interior, nearly 200 m² in size, offers plenty of spaces to settle in, from couches and coffee tables to more intimate corners, able to accommodate more than 200 additional people.
