Terraces in Paris’s 7th Arrondissement: Our Favorite Spots for a Break

The 7th arrondissement is quintessential monumental, elegant Paris, home to the Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides, the Musée d’Orsay and the Champ-de-Mars. After your stroll, explore the area’s terraces for lunch, a drink or simply to soak up the sun!

It’s impossible to walk for long in the 7th arrondissement without coming across a world-famous landmark. The Eiffel Tower towers over the Champ-de-Mars, the dome of the Invalides peeks out between the buildings, and the Musée d’Orsay occupies its former railway station, facing the Seine. The Musée Rodin and the Musée du quai Branly–Jacques Chirac round out an already particularly rich cultural itinerary.

But the neighborhood also has a more everyday side! Around Rue Cler and Gros-Caillou, markets, shops and little streets invite you to slow down, far from the hustle and bustle around the Iron Lady. The riverbanks also make an excellent route for exploring the arrondissement.

It is this blend of monumental Paris and neighborhood life that makes the terraces in the 7th so appealing. Some offer the sought-after views of the monuments, while others are more discreet, tucked against a façade or along a shopping street.

Without a moment’s hesitation, head to the terraces in Paris’s 7th arrondissement for lunch after an exhibition, coffee near the Champ-de-Mars or an aperitif with Paris as your backdrop!
