Betjeman & Barton launches a tea for children

Tea brand Betjeman & Barton unveils its first tea for children: a theine-free honeybush sweetly flavored with almond, pistachio and nougat.

This year, historic tea brand and teahouse Betjeman & Barton turns 100 years old. On the occasion, Betjeman & Barton has decided to show that tea isn’t only reserved for adults and takes children to wonderland with a never-seen-before tea.

Called Merveilles, this tea is a honeybush, the first ever released by the house. Originally from South Africa, this endemic plant is theine-free and gives a beverage free of theine but with the same antioxidant properties. In addition to these latter, the Honeybush is flavored with almond, pistachio and even nougat. A delicious treat for the youngest ones, for sure!

The lovely box of this honeybush itself remains in the Alice in Wonderland spirit: blue background, Alice’s younger sister is given pride of place, enjoying a cup of tea in a comfortable armchair, watched by a cat balancing on a big pink-dotted teapot.

A subtle and delicate beverage to introduce little boys and little girls to tea. But we are sure parents wouldn’t be able to resist it either! And it’s good since honeybush is perfect for mother-to-be!
