Comrade Boris and his Brunch

Comrades, would you like to have lunch, dinner or brunch with family and friends? Head for Camarade Boris, on the banks of the Quai de Loire, for a pleasant moment of relaxation. Ideally situated on the water's edge, it's the perfect spot for a drink on the terrace in summer, or for a break after a stroll. Just 2 steps from Cafézoïde for families passing through.

Opened last March, Camarade Boris is the latest addition to the Fils à maman family. You know, those friends who have opened several successful restaurants in Paris(Le Club des 5, Le resto dans la prairie, Captain B and Cabinet de sa Majesté).

Like the restos in the group's portfolio, the restaurant features a trendy decor combining salvage, factory and misappropriated objects. As with each restaurant, an original theme defines the personality of the place. For Camarade Boris, it's communism that takes pride of place. Wooden furniture, industrial decor and the color red are the hallmarks of this welcoming place.

During our visit, we tried the brunch. A hearty brunch at friendly prices (€23), sure to please the hungriest among you. To start with, enjoy a real freshly squeezed fruit juice and the hot drink of your choice, accompanied by freshly baked bread and pastries.

Then it's on to the menu of the moment. On our visit, we opted for the Chicken Bagel, the Croque Monsieur and the Planche du Camarade with bacon, sausages and scrambled eggs. Simple cuisine with delicious fries, that's what awaits you.

Once you've gobbled all that up and skipped a bit to digest it all, you finish the meal with an original tiramisu, a caramel rice pudding or a Petits Lu sablé with banana, which I recommend under its mountain of whipped cream.

In short, if you're looking for a convivial meal, a friendly setting and a good time, this is the place to go, mate!
