An edible plant wall set at Paris Printemps du Goût

From April 4 to May 12, 2019 you’re invited to the picking of fresh and aromatic plants growing on the 8th floor of the Printemps du Goût, on a big plant wall.

Basil, thyme, cilantro, tarragon, salad burnet as well as oakleaf lettuce, Batavia lettuce, mizuna cabbage, curly endive… 160 fresh and aromatic plant species will grow from April 4 to May 12, 2019 on the 8th floor of the Printemps du Goût.

As a matter of fact, Prêt à Pousser has set 40 kitchen gardens covering 10 meters in order to create a huge plant wall that is first and foremost edible.

The goal of this action? Promoting a new type of urban farming thanks to indoor kitchen garden favoring produces traceability and freshness, even in the middle of Paris.

For 7 weeks, Printemps chefs will come and directly help themselves in this beautiful plant wall, but not only. Everyone is invited to the picking!

Gourmands and foodies will indeed enjoy the 7 weeks of picking. Picking sessions are planned on Sunday from April 4 to May 12 as long as stock lasts, of course!

And who knows, having basil close to hand for your tomato salads or even mint for your mojitos and cilantro for your Asian-inspired dishes will perhaps make you want to create your very own little plant wall at home!
