Mohamed Cheikh has been busy since winning "Top Chef"! No sooner had his short-lived restaurant Manzili closed than he joined the kitchens of La Pagode de Cos, one of the restaurants of the 5-star hotel La Réserve. Discover with us his delicious ephemeral menu to be enjoyed until December 4, 2021.

Mohamed Cheikh 's culinary adventures continue in the capital at least until the end of the year. The winner of the2021 edition of"Top Chef " is the guest, in temporary residence at La Pagode de Cos, one of the restaurants of theParisian hotel La Réserve, under the benevolent eye of Jérôme Banctel, 2-star chef of the Parisian palace. His menu will run until December 4, 2021.

Since winning the M6 culinary competition,Mohamed Cheikh has, for the time being, chosen to multiply his ephemeral culinary projects. While his pop-up restaurant Manzili, set up in the Jardin de Plantes and never deserted, has just closed its doors, Mohamed Cheikh is already in the midst of his new project. Still short-lived this time around, the chef is set to continue the adventure in Paris, in a new establishment to follow...

This time, it was two-starred chef Jérôme Banctel, head of the kitchens at the5-star hotel and restaurant Le Gabriel, who invited Mohamed Cheikh to take over the reins at La Pagode de Cos for two months. And it's no coincidence that Mohamed Cheikh completed his very first kitchen internship with Jérôme Banctel, at Alain Senderens.

For his first time at the head of a palace kitchen, the latest winner of"Top Chef" offers us a contemporary, travel cuisine, imbued with flavors from around the world. Naturally, he honors his origins with dishes that take on an Oriental twist, combining fine produce and culinary savoir-faire.

Mohamed Cheikh starts us off with dishes to share. Between Red Tuna Sashimi with beet, soy and red shiso, and Yellowtail Crudo with white grapefruit, Kalamansi condiment and ponzu sauce, our heart sways. Think of pairing it with a tasty glass of Champagne or a delicious cocktail like the alcohol-free Rosa below, made with raspberry, lemon and lemonade.

For starters, let yourself be tempted by the Poulpe Fiction, which combines glazed carrots, zaa'tar hummus and harissa sauce to spice things up. We also fall for the excellent St Jacques à la plancha, which combines with the sweetness of avocado, spiced up with a vinaigrette of passion fruit, persimmon and Kalamanta olives to awaken our taste buds.

On the main course, the Cabillaud Arabica is divine. Imagine a perfectly cooked cod that reveals sweet notes of coffee, accompanied by roasted parsnips, dates, miso rib juice and toasted bread powder.

For dessert, the millefeuilles take on the allure of baklawa, the panna cotta is flavored with cocoa and the famous"Nomade" signature dessert (with which Mohamed won the restaurant war on "Top Chef") becomes a tart.

We love the lightness of the millefeuille, which reveals notes of orange blossom. The Nomade tart remains an obvious must-try.
