On March 4, 2025, the Saveurs de l'Année 2025 awards ceremony took place at the Eiffel Tower theater in Paris. This not-to-be-missed event in the French food industry rewarded numerous players for their commitment to quality and innovation.
The 2025 vintage featured some of the biggest names in retailing, who are redoubling their efforts to offer private labels to rival the traditional chains.
At the same time, several more confidential brands have distinguished themselves with remarkable innovations: "low alcohol" wines, a new French brand of organic and local chicory, or a 100% Handi-solidaire coffee packaged in France.
And, of course, historic brands with recognized craftsmanship, highlighting regional products such as the new Bordeaux fig jam, produced with passion and respect for local traditions.
For the second year running, Philippe Chieu, Hoa Nam's brand manager, has received an award for his company. At the head of this family-run Asian products factory for several decades, he has made Hoa Nam the leading distributor of Asian dishes in European supermarkets.
After winning the title of "Flavor of the Year 2024" for its pork and halal chicken nems, its samosa range has now been awarded the prestigious "Flavors of the Year 2025" distinction.
This recognition is all the more significant for the Hoa Nam team, who for over 40 years have been committed to offering healthy, gourmet cuisine, 100% made in France, in their workshops in Paris and Ivry-sur-Seine.
Hoa Nam's samoussas are now available from their flagship caterer in Paris's 13th arrondissement, as well as from leading supermarket chains such as Carrefour, Auchan, Franprix, Leclerc, Intermarché and Super U.
Flavors of the Year 2025: a year of innovation and environmental commitment
Under the impetus of its founder, Willy Mansion, the ceremony began with a focus on today's major environmental challenges: global warming, loss of biodiversity, depletion of resources... In a moving speech tinged with humor, he shared the trigger that led him to reinforce the Saveurs de l'Année commitment to sustainability: the birth of his grandson and the realization of the legacy left to future generations.
As a result, the Saveurs de l'Année selection criteria have been strengthened, placing increasing emphasis on the environmental impact of the products rewarded. An initiative that resonates with the expectations of consumers, who are increasingly attentive to the origin and manufacture of what they put on their plates.
This 2025 edition of Saveurs de l'Année confirms the French food industry's determination to combine quality, innovation and environmental responsibility.
