Instinctively, one might think that the place is reserved for men. That was certainly true in the beginning, but more and more women are being tempted by these intimate dances. Today, spending a pleasant moment with a charming dancer is no longer taboo. You could even say that the concept of the strip club has definitely become part of the norm...
There are three well-known clubs in Paris:Pink Paradise, Hustler, and Secret Square. The latter caught our attention. Visit this chic venue located at 27 Avenue des Ternes in the 17th arrondissement.
Right from the entrance, the sparkling butterfly, emblem of Secret Square, conveys a sensual message to visitors waiting outside. A symbol of transformation and metamorphosis, the butterfly also symbolizes women and femininity.
The tone is set... An intimate, very intimate atmosphere.
As they descend the club's grand staircase, newcomers wonder what they will find at the bottom of the steps. The show is bound to be tasteful... What strikes you when you arrive at the "String" is the hushed atmosphere of the large room with its wood paneling and warm colors, worthy of the most beautiful cabarets across the Atlantic. The timeless wood decor of the famous "Niel's" (a trendy club in the 90s, editor's note) has stood the test of time.
The "Secret Square" has an undeniable advantage over other table dance cabarets. With its refined restaurant showcasing French cuisine, the show is also on the plate. Immersed in the atmosphere of a 1920s Shanghai cabaret, you can enjoy high-quality dishes with a set menu for €65 (starter + main course + dessert), for example.
Located almost opposite the Fnac des Ternes, the Secret Square restaurant is open until 2 a.m. (and the club until 4 a.m.). This is a godsend for night owls coming out of a play or a late-night movie. Le Secret Square welcomes you for a chic and sensual late dinner.
The transition is seamless and brings us directly to the primary function of the place, striptease or "effeuillage" in French...
Every evening, from 10 p.m., 30 to 40 exceptional dancers will introduce you to the joys of table dancing. A podium is dedicated to them in the center of the large room, and thanks to the magic of a clever set of mirrors, you can watch the show wherever you are.
A topless dance at your table, which is not private, will cost you €30 or, more precisely, one butterfly ticket. In fact, as no monetary transactions in euros are allowed in the room (the same rule applies to all cabarets), the dancers are paid by customers in "angel currency." Your euros can be converted into "string money" at a small cash desk in the main room. Are you following?
The private full nude dance takes place in a small dedicated lounge, right next to the main room. It lasts for two songs and costs two tickets, or €60. Sometimes, women offer dances to their husbands or partners. Guaranteed effect...
Secret Square is a very nice " table dance" establishment. Its reputation is well established, so go there with your eyes closed. A word of advice, though: open them for the dancers...
