Street food has won over Paris and its gastronomic whims. Today, the invasion of food trucks seems to be telling us, " The street belongs to us." This time, it's not about protesting, but about tasting... Because yes, gluttony is also in our genes.
In Paris, it all really started with the arrival of Le Camion qui Fume. That was a year ago now. Kristin Frederick and her "home-made truck" burgers paved the way for other culinary horizons. La Cantine California, El Carrito... followed suit. Now there are six of them playing cat and mouse with our appetites. Each has its own specialty and reigns supreme in its neighborhood. To find them, follow the guide...

Although Le Camion qui Fume and its chef,Kristin Frederick, need no introduction, itis worth recalling the history of this food truck, which has introduced a new form of catering to Paris: fast but tasty. La Cantine California is the brainchild of Jordan Feilders, an American-Canadian married to a French woman and supported by a Finnish chef. This melting pot is also reflected in La Cantine's menu. Burgers, of course, but also tacos and brunch. The menu is particularly carefully prepared with fresh ingredients: fries cut to order, organic meat, artisan bread, and homemade tortillas. La Cantine California takes the origin and quality of its ingredients very seriously.
Cantine California:
Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. at Marché Saint Honoré or Marché Raspail
Burger + fries combo : €11
Tacos + frijoles combo: €10
At the helm of Le Réfectoire, 25-year-old Valentine is the latest addition to the food truck family and probably the most Parisian. Her recipe: burgers served with parsley fries and a dish of the day. She crisscrosses the 11th arrondissement to the delight of her customers. She has only been in business for a month and is already a huge success.

With El Carrito, we're changing destinations. Head to Argentina with this food truck that treats us to empanadas and ice cream. This is hardly surprising, as it is the traveling little brother of the restaurant El Clasico Argentino. It may also be the most difficult to track down, so if you're not feeling patient, you might as well head straight to one of its three locations: Rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine, Rue de Saintonge, or Rue du Pas de la Mule.
El Carrito is most often found at:
Ecole National des Beaux Arts de Paris
56 Rue de Saintonge 75003
Price: €4 per empanada
Goody's is certainly the most diverse. It is an alternative to company canteens, present at markets, outside nightclubs, and organizes private events. A nice range of activities that allows us to find it regularly at our favorite places. Currently stationed at the Heavent trade show, it has a fairly busy schedule but is always well informed. The food truck offers dishes on demand (burgers and salads) based on classic and innovative recipes. Adaptability and diversity are the keys to Goody's success.
Goodys:
Wednesdays and Saturdays: Place Baudoyer market, 75004 Paris: 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Fridays and Saturdays: in front of Le Baron, 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.

2 Filles 1 Camion, or 2F1C, is indeed a food truck, but it is also the most unique food truck of all. First, because Delphine and Cécile do not serve burgers (sandwiches, daily specials, traditional, French, or foreign dishes, etc.). Secondly, because they work almost exclusively with businesses. Their itinerary is therefore rarely known, making their "public appearances" even more eagerly awaited. As they like to say, the best way to find them is to invite them!

La Brigade is a "bistronome" food truck offering freshly prepared food. That's why it works with sliced products, so that customers can eat standing up, without having to sit down and use a knife. La Brigade's standard menu consists of sliced meat accompanied by fresh fries, zucchini or salad and a sauce of your choice (green pepper/coconut milk, caramelized shallots, Roquefort/honey, etc.).
