Just off the Champs-Elysées, Dutch hotel group CitizenM has chosen to open its fourth Paris hotel, after Gare de Lyon, La Défense and Charles de Gaulle.
And like the group's previous addresses, the Citizen M Champs-Elysées, although located not far from the most beautiful and chic avenue in the world, is no exception to the rule set by the group's founder, Rattan Chadha: affordable luxury for all, just like at home.
And to do so, the hotel has all the comforts you need to unwind after a day spent shopping in the 8th arrondissement, starting with its 151 optimized, modernly-equipped rooms.
All of them feature a king-size bed, a shower with different lighting and scent atmospheres that can be activated using a MoodPad tablet, a large TV screen with streaming and music compilations, and a desk corner for those who want to send a postcard to family members to tell them how much they enjoyed their vacation.
The common areas are not to be outdone either. Built in a building dating from the 1970s and redesigned by the Concrete Amsterdam architectural studio, theCitizen M Champs-Elysées hotel offers a number of convivial relaxation areas, including a design lounge featuring works of art by JR, Sarah Morris and Frank Horvat; as well as books to borrow to relax and pass the time, and comfortable workspaces to get down to work with a rested mind.
When it comes to food and drink, the hotel has a CanteenM canteen open 24/7, offering hot meals, snacks, non-alcoholic drinks, cocktails and coffees at all hours of the day, to be enjoyed on one of the two sunny terraces or on the large shady patio. It's a practical, pleasant little cocoon of greenery in the heart of the 8th arrondissement!
Alternatively, climb to the top floor to discover CloudM, a verdant rooftop overlooking Parisian rooftops and the Eiffel Tower.
Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
