Lovers of Japanese culture, go to the 3rd district of the capital to push the doors of OGATA Paris. After two years of work, this magnificent spot dedicated to the Japanese art of living is finally unveiled to the general public. Nestled in a 17th century mansion, OGATA Paris ' mission is to dazzle all our senses with a sabō, meaning a tea room, a restaurant, an intimate bar, a workshop, a store dedicated to wagashi (traditional Japanese pastries) as well as an art gallery, all spread over 800 square meters.

Imagined by the interior architect and designer Shinichiro Ogata, OGATA Paris immerses us in theJapanese art of living built around 5 pillars: tea, cuisine, craftsmanship, hospitality and culture. We discover a refined and minimalist setting with a subdued and zen atmosphere that is a beautiful invitation to relax. Here, we are truly here to take our time; a rare and very pleasant thing in the heart of Paris.

Discover also the wagashi store, Japanese pastries that make your mouth water: honwarabi, ichigo mochi, mame daifuku, sobanomi okoshi... And for tea lovers, head for the basement to enjoy the sabō and its Zen space to discover many varieties of tea selected according to the seasons (Hojicha, sencha) through a revisited tea ceremony.

On the restaurant side, located on the 1st floor, OGATA Paris offers a true culinary experience to be savored with the five senses. Here, the dishes are designed to reinterpret in a contemporary way family and regional dishes found in Japan. On the lunch menu? A starter based on watercress, roasted duck, Japanese pumpkin, purple carrot, beard in sashimi... What's next? A perfectly cooked and seasoned royal sea bream, sublimated by a butter and soy sauce, and accompanied by pickles. To finish, a tasty blancmange with coconut and matcha flavors. And because tea is the main theme of the place, each dish is accompanied by a tea, such as a cold-brewed tea for the starter and a roasted tea for the dessert.
