Fêtes Galantes 2026, a lavish costume party at the Palace of Versailles - ticket office date

Does castle life make you dream? Do your eyes light up when you hear about the extravagant parties that took place atthe Palace of Versailles? Your dreams are about to come true: the Fêtes Galantes are back for a new edition at the Sun King's palace. On Monday, May 25, 2026, don your finery and come dance on the floor of the Hall of Mirrors during agrand costume ball, just like in the days of Louis XIV. Don't missthe ticket office opening on Thursday, November 13, at 2 p.m.

The chateau's most beautiful rooms open their doors to you, for this exceptional evening of period entertainment. Lovers of the place, straight out of the Grand Siècle, will guide you as you (re)discover the private apartments of the King, Madame du Barry and de Pompadour, as well as theOpéra Royal. The evening concludes with a fireworks display in the Galerie des Glaces after the grand closing ball.

This ninth edition of Fêtes Galantes promises to be exceptional! Three activities are on offer throughout the evening: depending on your ticket, you may have to choose which ones you'd like to take part in. Dance classes are organized with dancing masters. Two concerts are also scheduled, in the Salle des Gardes du Roi, and in the Chapelle Royale.

You're free to visit the castle's open spaces, and to take part in activities whenever you like. From 11 p.m., head to the Galerie des Glaces for the Baroque Ball, which culminates in a spectacular fireworks display!
