Between shareable plates, a curated music lineup, salsa nights and a travel-meets-party vibe, Le Comptoir Général is the perfect spot for an afterwork in Paris, a dinner with friends, an unconventional date or a festive night out in the capital.

Temple of tropical music for fifteen years,\u00a0the Comptoir Général is now focusing on Caribbean couple dances.

The success of the Cuban Salsa Tuesdays proves it: even on weekdays, dance has its place in the capital!

Every Wednesday, enjoy an alternating lineup of La Dominicaine and Caliventura.

  • Dominican bachata

As its name suggests, "La Dominicaine" sets course for the Dominican Republic, the cradle of bachata and the famously festive merengue.

DJ Sir Benjamin and the guest DJs also spin kompa and salsa to spice up the night. The lineup is simple: free Dominican bachata lessons starting at 8pm led by Momo Kalil and her hosts, followed by a dancing night from 9pm to 1am.

  • Colombian salsa

"Caliventura", the other Wednesday night, puts the salsa colombienne in the spotlight, along with the salsa portoricaine and the New York salsa.

The concept stays the same: an 8 p.m. initiation into Colombian salsa (calena) led by the La Cocina del Ritmo collective, followed by a dance party featuring a 100% vinyl selection curated by DJ El Sorfrito del Viernes.
