Hidden behind a delicatessen on rue Notre-Dame de Nazareth, this hidden bar won’t be a secret for long…
We must say that behind this news speakeasy, we have the dream team already running Lavomatic, here are Marie, Yoan and Tacos.
For L’Epicier, the talented trio came up with a bar hiding behind a shelf in a delicatessen. But you have to find which one.
Once the door is open, you’ll have to open another one to discover the splendid décor of this more than welcoming bar.
On the ceiling, colored lanterns, a carpet on the floor. To sit, you have the choice: at the counter on stools, on swings for more originality or even on small stools in front of a few bench seats with throw pillows. We love the customized coffee tables with the famous “STOP” road signs.
As for the menu, it inevitably invites to a travel with names coming from the Orient such as the unpronounceable but delicious “Rawhajpoutalah” made of homemade tonka/coffee syrup, lemon juice, egg white, orange blossom, Kahlúa coffee liquor, whisky, bitter old-fashioned fee brother.
We also fell for the very coveted “Tété du Bled” served the Moroccan way with a teapot and a small glass. Behind this potion hides a delicious mix of Oleo saccharum, lime, fresh Moroccan mint, Cuban rum, homemade mint tea soda and Absinthe Pernod spray. A cocktail we can order for one or several.
For the rest, go for the “Sheratini” (lime juice, rose water, pomegranate juice, cardamom-infused vodka and Pineau des Charentes).
For soft cocktails lovers, discover the “Maamoul” based on orange tea, dates purée, pear juice and grapefruit juice.
And to accompany these drinks, go for some Oriental treats such as msenmens or even vegetable samosas.
