This is THE news of this Fall: Cédric Grolet will have his bakery-patisserie in the Opera neighborhood starting November 22, 2019. A news the pastry chef has shared with a new Instagram page for his new store.
At 33, the pastry chef has decided to fly the nest while keeping his place as Le Meurice pastry chef after improving the art of the fruits in the kitchen of the Parisian palace. He told us about wanting to develop other personal projects when we interviewed him in June 2018 and the project is coming to life!
He’s now coming to Avenue de l’Opéra, at a location known for having housed Casse-Noisette (Jeffrey Cagnes’s patisserie). The place is ideally set and owns a floor, perfect for a tearoom corner! Inside, we’re told to find bread, pastries and viennoiseries, sweets, chocolates as well as dishes to eat on site (and to take away). Fruits remain at Le Meurice, for his new store, the chef came up with a brand-new gourmet range to discover.
Spotted on Instagram, we discovered the range of sweet treats available: pain au chocolat, breads and croissants standing alongside Mont Blancs, Saint-Honorés and revisited flans! On the uppoer floor, we discover a large main bar providing hot beverage and cocktails!
Let's run to 35 Avenue de l'Opéra to discover the chef's beautiful creations and his new spot that complete the successful Cedric Grolet’s Le Meurice store.
