After London and Amsterdam, it’s in full heart of Paris, in the Grands Boulevards neighborhood, and within a former mansion from the 18th century (classified as Historical Monument, please!) that the chic and British Hôtel Hoxton has been set up in 2017!
Within this boutique-hotel, passing-by tourists and gourmets in town enjoy the very trendy restaurant Rivié, that offers a sophisticated and modern cuisine!
In an ultra-clean, chic and smart décor set within a very lovely inner courtyard, the restaurant welcomes us. On the menu, we have dishes based on local products cooked in this beautiful open-plan kitchen.
On the varied menu, we have dishes to share for lots of conviviality: Borlotti bean hummus, padron peppers, marinated cucumber, grilled lamb breast...
Then we had the five starters. It was really hard to choose but we finally ended up with the surprising, crunchy and super fresh artichoke salad (€10); and the beef tartare (€13) served with kaffir lime pesto, red onions and egg yolk, we highly recommend it!
We continue with very delicious dishes: the super light fish & chips (€20) - thanks to thenori tempura and the yuzu tartare sauce! - the saddle of lamb (€26) that was so divine and so smooth that we gladly enjoy the spelt, asparagus, snow peas and red bell peppers and coconut cream.
To finish on a sweet note, we go for the deconstructed strawberry and lychee tart (€9) served with coconut and lychee sorbert and the dessert revolving around peach and basil (€9), fresh and perfect.
Perfecly mastered and hearty, Rivié cuisine has nothing to envy to palaces! And it also works for breakfast we've had the chance to try!
In the morning, the menu is healthy and full of vitamins with fresh fruit juices, avocado toasts (€14), granola, banana-chocolate pancakes, and even the traditional Benedict eggs twisted with a punchy yuzu hollandaise sauce.
All you need to start off the day the right way!
