Keep your eyes open and your taste buds ready! Mokko will keep you interested. There’s a surprise at each bite, each mouthful is delicious, this new bistronomic restaurant in rue Francoeur is to die for.
This restaurant that opened a month ago is run by young chef Arthur Hantz. On the menu, an assortment of neo-bistro small dishes that totally seduced us. For this discovery, we go for the “Nourrissez-moi” [Fee me] menu for 39 euros. As its name suggests it, we leave our mouth to the good care of the chef who served us five courses (an appetizer, three main courses, cheese or dessert) according to the likings of the moment. We let ourselves be advised for the wines, that are organic or natural and oh-so delectable.
Between the sow ham with rosemary oil, the yuzu cod ceviche, the grilled octopus or the corn soup with grapefruit, it’s hard to organize the dishes because we want to give the gold medal to all of them. The flavors are sophisticated and surprising, yet very simple. Here, no fuss, but great cuisine only.
Beyond extra fresh products and its very clean cuisine, Mokko’s particularity is that the menu always changes, following the inspiration and the delivery. In one month, about forty different dishes have been served already! The most popular ones return such as the delicious and light soufflé purée with braised chicories. In other words, we could come every day without eating the same thing twice.
Continuing on the place, we really love Mokko’s décor. The place is warm and very aesthetically pleasing, all covered in wood and turquoise. In the back, a large table for meeting-with-buddies-in-the-dining-room can fit about ten people.
In short, Mokko is a flawless restaurant you should visit asap!
