Chez Vous, the super cozy restaurant on rue Choron, celebrates its tenth anniversary and enters a new era with autodidact mixologist Majd Masri.

Chez Vous, it’s the feel-good spot a stone’s throw from the rue des Martyrs: cozy sofas, shelves filled with boardgames, books at your service and blockbuster movie posters on the walls, we almost feel like in an apartment share!

This year, the restaurant turns ten and is now run by promising mixologist Majd Masri who took over last year and concocted a new cocktail menu based on premium alcohols, syrups, shrubs and homemade bitters.

You can also rediscover timeless classics or go bold since the menu changes every three months. The day we came, we tried the French Conexion based on Mezcal, Chambord, Whisky, squeezed lime and sugar, a delight that was both smoky and fruity!

To accompany these creations, Chez Vous can also rely on chef Benoît Gribanoff who’s inspired by seasonal products and tries to make the most of short circuits in a true ecofriendly approach. Fruits and vegetables come mainly from Ile de France, meats from Burgundy butchers and seafood from small local producers.

The menu changes very regularly and evolves with a selection of 3 starters, 3 main courses and 3 desserts for lunch, always including a vegan or vegetarian option.

In our plates that day, we had the marrow bone bruschetta, wild garlic pesto, spinach and toasted hazelnuts to delight the taste buds, just like the watermelon with feta from Limnos, Za’atar and organic olive oil.

Then, we had a grilled pollock fillet, piperade and whole rice, as well as a large penne salad with pesto, mozza di bufala, bell peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, toasted seeds and herbs.

Last but definitely not least, a glaze dark chocolate cake with praline and a smooth caramelized apple on a shortbread containing salted caramel coulis… So good!

At dinner, the menu features plenty of dishes to share for 5, 7 and up to 10 persons, such as the lemon taramasalata and homemade pita, eggplant caviar and cod fritters.

Finally, moving on to wines, the selection is renewed every three months with an almost 100% natural and organic wine list. To find your bearings more easily, Jérémy will help you out like no one and offers well-thought wine pairings.

The motto at Chez Vous? “Eating well, drinking well”… As for us, it’s a success!
