At Jimmy's Street Food, street-food goes plant-based with generous, homemade dishes that contain no animal ingredients. An address that will convince even the most reluctant.

In Paris, veganism has a bright future ahead of it, despite its detractors. From salads and burgers to vegan pizzas, it's now possible to indulge in dishes that contain no animal ingredients. Veganism is also taking hold in Pigalle, with the opening of Jimmy's Street Food, the new vegan street food spot.

But to set themselves apart from the capital's other vegan addresses, Julien Lanchas and Ludovic Sauvajot, the two founders of Jimmy's Street Food, have chosen not to offer traditional burgers and their spicy cereal patties, or bland quinoa salads. Here, you'll enjoy real plant-based street food that's downright naughty.

Of course, the chef is careful not to reveal his preparation secrets, but we can tell you that everything here is entirely homemade, from starter to dessert - it's impossible to miss those maxi cookies in the window! Another positive point is that none of the preparations have the Christian stifle that some vegan dishes can have, sticking to the teeth and only swallowed with a swig of water.

At Jimmy's Street Food, you'll find crispy tenders to dip in homemade sauces - BBQ, ketchup, kewpie, or an excellent lightly spiced mayonnaise.

There's also a Caesar salad (9€) that's already a regular in the neighborhood, mac'no cheese (9€) for maximum comfort, and roasted marinated chickpeas (2€), a welcome change from the coleslaw all too often offered in vegan restaurants. The ideal side dish to accompany the sandwich of the moment: a cheesy sub sandwich (9€) that's very, very gourmet and frankly generous, with tender faux chicken, onion compote and lots of faux-mage dripping inside - and out - in ultra-moist toasted bread!

A wonderful discovery that will convince even the most reluctant.
