Tour de France 2019 is back on July 6, 2019 and after cols, falls, ups and downs, cyclists will arrive in Paris on July 28, 2019 for the 21st and last stage.
128 kilometers from Rambouillet (Yvelines) to finish on a high note and on the world’s most beautiful avenue: the Champs-Elysées. This is an event awaited by lots of people: cyclists on one hand because they are worn out by the race and on the other hand, supporters, since the race has captivated cycling enthusiasts for years.
Everyone wants to cheer champions arrive on the Champs-Elysées, here's the planned route to help you place so that you can support and cheer them.
Racing cyclists will first cycle to North to Le Perray-en-Yvelines, then North-East to join Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse, Jouy-en-Josas, Vélizy-Villacoublay, Meudon and Issy-les-Moulineaux before joining Paris.
For safety and organization reasons, the Champs-Elysées will be closed to traffic on Sunday July 28 from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Each year, Parisians and tourists take a place on the Champs-Elysées to cheer champions. But, if you are not a walkabout fan, go to Rue de Rivoli between the exit of the Jardin des Tuileries tunnel and the Place de la Concorde.
Don't forget this year either the bike ride on the world's most beautiful avenue with the Randonnée du Tour de France, a few hours only prior to the racers' arrival on the Champs-Elysées in Paris.
