A small Swedish corner in Paris, the Swedish Institute proposes many exhibitions, movie screenings and cultural activities allowing us to know more about this country.
And for the 37th edition of European Heritage Days, on September 19 and 20, 2020, the Institute highlights another aspect of its heritage: the building in which it’s housing! The latter, the Hôtel de Marle is a splendid premise from the late 16th century purchased over 50 years ago to house the Swedish Institute. On the occasion, guided tours are provided to visitors for free on Saturday September 19, 2020.
Its painted ceiling, its main stairway or even the upside-down hull structure à la Philibert Delorme make of it a building with a very exceptional architecture enjoying a fascinating story and just sublime to look at! Tours are held non-stop by the Swedish Institute staff and guides from the Paris Historiques Association. A tour you really do not want to miss!
