Late 2016, the Paris Council voted for a naturist area entirely free and located at the Bois de Vincennes for the summer 2017, but the initiative we thought postponed until spring 2018 has finally been launched on Wednesday August 31, 2017. Paris very first naturist area is now an official thing. This year, it's back for a fourth reason until October 11, 2020.
Do you want to feel free without your clothes on? Being a naturist is not a bad thing. Naturists (France counts over 2 million naturists) advocates a return to our natural state: “Naturism is a way of life in harmony with nature characterized by the practice of communal nudity with the intention of encouraging self-respect, respect for others and for the environment” the International Naturist Federation says.
Until October 11, 2020, we run there to discover a 7,000 sqm area within walking distance from the ornithologic preserve, in the clearing located between the Allée Royale and the Route Dauphine. For now, the area opens every day from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Of course, the space is protected from curious and rubbernecks thanks to warning sign. To ensure the tranquility of users, a charter is displayed “to inform walkers and runners” Julien Claudé-Pénégry says from the Association des Naturistes de Paris (Paris Naturists’ Association). Note that there is no restrictions, naturists and dressed people can walk freely together.
Inauguration of the naturist area:
The German capital is far ahead of Paris on this matter since it already allows naturism in many parks in the heart of the city.
In France and in Paris, urban naturism is improving and this idea allows the interested ones to get a secured place dedicated to this practice. Currently in Paris, we can already swim naked at the Roger Le Gall public swimming pool (in the 12th arrondissement) that offers time slots three times a week.
