From October 3 to 13, 2025, the Fête de la Science will be back for another year of discoveries, workshops and demonstrations of all kinds. To mark the occasion, the Laboratoire National de Métrologie et d'Essais is opening its doors to budding scientists, on Saturday October 11 only, to discover the full breadth of the world of measurement.
A number of major themes will be highlighted, with events and workshops for the whole family. In a world subject to climate change, air and water pollution, measurement is more than ever at the heart of environmental and health issues. Discover how these measurements help us to better understand the mechanisms impacting our environment and our health.
You'll see how measurement plays a vital role in everyday life, whether at a market stall or a petrol pump. Curious visitors will also be able to understand the principle behind measuring blood alcohol levels, and see the effects of different lighting systems on our visual perception.
Here's an unexpected visit to an unsuspected field of science that just might fascinate you! Take advantage of this great family event to discover this laboratory and broaden your horizons.
