On October 1, the association Le Cancer du Sein, Parlons-En! launches the 25th edition of Pink October in France, its informative operation to raise awareness and support the research against the disease lasting all October long.
This event is vital for the association supporting all year long the medical and scientific research and informing women about the breast cancer diagnostic.
For this 25th launch, the association organizes a great (private) evening on Monday October 1 at the foot of the Pont d’Iéna, just across the Eiffel Tower. On the occasion, the Eiffel Tower will be lit in pink at 8:20 p.m. by Cristina Cordula, ambassador of the campaign and Anne Hidalgo, Paris mayor.
Together, they will mark the start of a month filled with events and will give the Prix Ruban Rose pour la Recherche, 6 researching teams will gain €500,000 to lead researches about breast cancer and especially improve the remission of metastatic breast cancer still resulting in 74% of victims.
If the evening is private, dozens of animations are planned in Paris and throughout France. Races, informative villages, closet clear-outs, book sales to raise as much funds as possible for the research!
So, don’t hesitate to look at and photograph the Eiffel Tower and share this strong supportive message with people suffering from this disease.
