The Musée National des Arts Asiatiques – Guimet in Paris takes part in Museums Night on Saturday May 18, 2019 from 7 p.m. to midnight and offers an exhibition about the world as seen from Asia.
Museums Night 2019 offers the occasion to participating institutions to provide the public with a new look on their collections. The Musée Guimet welcomes the public on May 18, 2019 for a night filled with free tours.
Created in 1889 by Emile Guimet, the Musée National des Arts Asiatiques Guimet displays 5000 years of the story of Asian art in a space covering 5,500 sqm of permanent galleries. The museum is set in 3 builings, the main building on the Place Iéna, the Hôtel d'Heidelbach and the Musée Ennery. For Museums Night 2019, the main building on the Place Iéna remains open.

- Jean-Baptiste Huynh, the exhibition at Paris Musée Guimet
The Musée National des arts asiatiques – Guimet [National Museum of Asian Arts – Guimet] dedicates a large exhibition to French-Vietnamese photographer Jean-Baptiste Huynh who comes to present all his works throught three series of photographs taken in Vietnam, India, Japan, China and Cambodia.
- Fables d'Orient - Miniaturistes, artistes et aventuriers à la Cour de Lahore
The Musée Guimet gives pride of place to the surprising picture production of a painter from Lahore, Imam Bakhsh, in the 19th century. Portraits of maharajahs, royal dignitaries, landscapes, 60 miniatures from the La Fontaine's Fables, thanks to the exceptional loan by the Musée de Château-Thierry, create a first anthology.

Come and discover over 300 blue and white porcelains from China, from the pyramidion roof of the Salon des Porcelaines, in the French Embassy in Lisbon - former royal house, reproduced in 3D at the Musée Guimet.
