At the same time as the next general assembly of the United Nations and shorty before the new G20 and Cop26 on climate (in November 2021), Live Nation has announced a major global event taking place on Saturday September 25, 2021: Global Citizen Live. Between live shows and filmed art acts from all continents, Global Citizen Live is 24 hours of program and shows aiming at raising awareness about “climate change, equity in terms of vaccines and hunger”.
Global Citizen is an international organization advocating for rights, defending the planet and fighting against poverty, and organizes Global Citizen Live. A global event. Global Citizen Live is a 24-hours live show paced with filmed art acts from all over the world: Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East, Australia, Northern America, and even Southern America.
The Global Citizen Live show is to air all over the world through many canals and social networks: ABC, BBC, FX, iHeartRadio, Hulu, YouTube, Twitter… Futhermore, the French TF1/TMC group will also air the Global Citizen Live event.
Global Citizen Live is also live concerts from all over the world, with artists and an audience gathered together. These shows will take place in Lagos (Nigeria), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), New-York and Los Angeles (U.S.), London (England), Seoul (South Korea), Sydney (Australia), and for course Paris, France.
So, what to expect in the French capital city? Head to the Champ-de-Mars to attend live shows performed by Elton John, Ed Sheeran, DJ Snake, Christine and the Queens, Black Eyed Peas, as well as Stormzy, Charlie Puth, Doja Cat, and Angélique Kidjo.
Elsewhere in the world, Coldplay, Billie Eilish, Jennifer Lopez, Lizzo, Shawn Mendes, and even Camila Cabello and Lang Lang will put on a show in New York while Femi Kuti, Davido, Tiwa Savage and Made Kuti will be in Lagos.
So, how to attend Global Citizen Live’s Paris show? You only have to sign up on the official website “as a Global Citizen”. The website specifies: “Once you join Global Citizen, you can take actions such as signing petitions, sharing messages on social media, writing letters to politicians, and much more. With every action you take, you’ll earn points that you can redeem for Rewards, such as digital content and experiences, beauty products, merchandise, tickets, and more”.
Careful though, because of the health crisis, Parisian spectators will have to show a vaccination certificate with two doses complete or a negative Covid test.
