Have you enjoyed Le Grand Palais des Glaces? Well then, you’ll be delighted to know that the world’s biggest ice-skating rink is back for a 5th edition from December 13, 2019 to January 8, 2020 for enjoyable moments of ice skating.

Le Grand Palais des Glaces is back this winter 2019-2020. Indeed, for the 5^th time, the Grand Palais sets up in its nave France’s biggest ice-skating rink. No fewer than 2.700-sqm ice-skating rink are available to make you skate in a magical place. Novice or professional, you can all come and enjoy this incredible rink and its light sets, the whole while enjoying music!

A wonderful surprise since this event is usually happening every 2 years and returns one last time before the Grand Palais closes for renovations.

Born out of an original idea of Oliver Maurey – founder of the Groupe Ludéric – the first edition was held in 2012 and met a very big success with circa 300,000 people who came to discover this event as exceptional as unexpected.

Skilled athletes as well as families and visitors will throw themselves into this huge 3000-sqm space. Kids even enjoy an area especially fitted for them and entirely secured and supervised. Two time slots are available during the day: 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (€17 for adults and €12 for kids) or 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. (€25 for adults and €12 for kids).

At nighttime, welcome the giant dance floor parties. At nightfall, the ice-skating rink puts on a show: it’s the festive event of the Champs-Elysées. The rink turns into a giant dancefloor to skate for the night along with a DJ set, shine under the disco balls and dance at the pace of light shows…

Not only can you give free rein to your skating skills, but friendly areas will also be fitted all around the ice-skating rink, allowing you to enjoy shows and entertainments provided within the Grand Palais des Glaces. This year, a Christmas village with a huge tree expects you for a picture.

In 2019, the Grand Palais des Glaces takes us to a polar atmosphere with a monumental sculpture by Richard Orlinksi. A 7-m tall sculpture set in the center of the ice-skating rink, the “Standing Wild Bear”.

This year, we'll have a diamond bubble: a giant mirror bubble lighting the skating rink up with 1100 mirrors. Technical exploit: 7,52m wide, its four tons turn in the middle of the track like a twirl of lights. A monumental and glimmering snow flake will stand on the ice like a diamond.

The Grand Palais des Glaces also provided a food and offering all day long (champagne, mulled wine...). This year, Dalloyau's treats expect you: pastry, macaron, croissant and cake are on the gourmet menu.
