Head to Meaux this weekend to discover "Meaux & Merveilles," the Christmas market that will enchant Seine-et-Marne from December 6, 2025, to January 4, 2026, with its wonderful illuminated garden, video mapping, rides, parades, mischievous elves, biker road trip, and Santa's House.

The Meaux Christmas market returns to enchant Seine-et-Marne with its new edition, "Meaux & Merveilles." From December 6, 2025, to January 4, 2026, the city will be transformed into a real-life Christmas fairy tale with its wonderful garden, shows, and magical activities. If you're looking for a great idea for a family outing during the holidays, come and discover this free event that promises some wonderful surprises.

As night falls, head to the Bossuet Garden to admire the video mapping that illuminates the facades of the episcopal palace. This light show, produced by OCAM, is on display every evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and transforms the garden into a magical space where projections dance on the stone. The atmosphere is particularly successful, with carefully orchestrated illuminations and magical decorations that immerse us in the festive spirit. It's a great way to start an evening with the family before strolling among the stalls.

The city center is also decked out in its finest attire with several Christmas markets in Seine-et-Marne. From December 12 to 14, Place Darnetal will host craft stalls where you can find wooden decorations, scented candles, and handmade jewelry. Food lovers are not left out, with classic crêpes, waffles, and hot chestnuts, as well as beloved local specialties: Brie de Meaux AOP, Meaux beer, and the famous Meaux mustard. It's a great opportunity to support local producers while enjoying a delicious treat.

What events are on the Meaux & Merveilles program?

This year's program promises to be particularly rich. Starting on December 6, the Saint-Nicolas parade kicks off the festivities at 4 p.m. from the Place du Temple. The mischievous elves then wander throughout the city until January 4, creating moments of surprise and camaraderie with passersby. Santa's house will open its doors for several days to allow children to pose with the famous character. We appreciate this thoughtful gesture, which allows these magical moments to be immortalized.

As for shows, there are several concerts to enjoy over the weekends:

  • The Laurie Carayon school will present its dance show on December 12 at 6:30 p.m.,
  • Les Sœurs Jo will perform on the 13th at 4 p.m.
  • and the Satin Dolls Sisters will close the market on December 14.

On December 13 at 6 p.m., several dance schools from Meaux will come together for a parade through the city center, from the bottom of Rue Saint-Rémy to Rue du Grand Cerf. This is an opportunity to see the Laurie Carayon, Temps Danse, MJC, Académie de Danse Passion et Formation, HANDI'MOOV, and Ori Nesia dance schools parade in a festive atmosphere.

Where can you find the events in Meaux?

The festivities take place in several neighborhoods throughout the city. At Place Henri IV, a funfair will be set up from December 17 to January 4, offering rides and attractions for all ages. The Beauval Verrière neighborhoods are organizing their own market on December 20 and 21, in partnership with the Acheter à La Verrière association. On December 20, at Place du Marché, the Gwoka Chanté Nwèl evening event will introduce us to Caribbean traditions from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in front of the Cyparis.

The highlight of this year's event is Santa Claus' arrival on Saturday, December 20, at 6 p.m. at the Place de l'Hôtel de Ville. The program includes fireworks, a funk concert, and DJ Van'ness for a festive evening that extends the magic into the night. Don't miss the special evening event on Saturday, December 14, with the market staying open until 8 p.m.

For motorcycle enthusiasts, the date is set for Sunday, December 7 at 1:15 p.m. at the Place de l'Hôtel de Ville for the Road Trip, a Christmas celebration for bikers. Several appearances by Santa Claus and his elves are also scheduled in different neighborhoods on December 16, 19, and 21, allowing all Meldois residents to enjoy the magic of Christmas close to home.

In short, Meaux & Merveilles awaits you. This is anunmissable outing for the holidays in the Ile-de-France region. Free access to all the activities and the diversity of the program make it a great place to discover with your family, just a few kilometers from Paris.
