All Saints’ Day 2026: tours and workshops at the National Museum of Archaeology

The National Archaeology Museum in Saint-Germain-en-Laye is offering tours and workshops during the All Saints’ Day school holidays, from October 17 to November 1, 2026. Here are the upcoming events for discovering prehistory, the Gauls and archaeological techniques.

For 3–5-year-olds accompanied by an adult, the Prehistoric Animals workshop takes place on October 28 and 31 at 10:30 a.m.: an hour to discover the animals and depict them, for €7. On October 30 at 10:30 a.m., I Tidy Up, So I Sort! offers 45 minutes of sorting pictures of tools, at the same price.

Older children can carve a bison on October 28 at 2 p.m. (ages 7–10, 1.5 hours, €9), explore stratigraphic excavation that same day at 2 p.m. (ages 10–13, 1.5 hours, €9), or make a mosaic on October 30 at 2:30 p.m. (ages 8–12, 2 hours, €11). The I’m a Little Gaul tour is for children ages 5–7 on October 30 at 10:15 a.m. (1 hour, €5).

For families, Painting Together! is scheduled for October 31 at 2 p.m., for ages 6 and up (1.5 hours, €9). Several storytelling tours are also on the program: The Iliad and the Odyssey on October 28, 29 and 31; The First Villages on October 28 and 30; and Life in Gaulish Times on October 29 and November 1.
