From October 17 to November 1, 2026, the Museum of Arts and Crafts offers science performances, workshops and tours for families. The Science Show returns on October 24 and 25 at 3 p.m.

During the All Saints’ Day holidays in 2026, the MuAM — Musée des Arts et Métiers blends exploring its collections, science demonstrations, and hands-on activities. From October 17 to November 1, the program is geared toward families, with activities for ages 4 and workshops for teenagers.

The Science Show: Let There Be Light! brings scientific phenomena to life through experiments, eye-opening demonstrations, and witty, commentary-delivered explanations. Created with The Experimental Garden & Science Culture, it’s scheduled for October 24 and 25 at 3:00 p.m. The show lasts one hour and costs €10 per person. Booking is mandatory, with arrival at the reception fifteen minutes before the session.

For children aged 4-6, storytelling and hands-on activities explore movement, imagery, flight, and machines. For the 7-12 group, options include optical toys, automata, photography, or making sundials, depending on the workshops available.

Starting at 12 years old, the Tech’exploreurs program lets participants dive into digital technologies: programming, artificial intelligence, 3D modeling, or image analysis, with Python, among the disciplines announced depending on the session.

Around the exhibition Lady Liberté, families can also enjoy the theatrical tour Voyage au temps de Bartholdi and the workshop Fabrique la flamme de la Liberté. The Foucault pendulum, the metal horse Zeus, and the technical collections remain other entry points to discovering the museum.

Activities must be booked online; rates and access conditions vary by session. A reservation for the Science Show does not grant access to all holiday workshops.
