Sleeping Beauty comes to life as a musical show for kids aged 3 and up at the Gaîté Rive Gauche in the 14th arrondissement of Paris. The creation by Nicolas Nebot and Dominique Mattei runs from October 3, 2026 to May 9, 2027.
Inspired by Charles Perrault's tale, the story follows Princess Aurora, protected by fairies until a curse drives her into a deep sleep. The scene brings together knights, princesses and fantastical creatures, including a life-size dragon.
Manon Bartoletti, Adelina Belgodère, Eka Katounka, Alexandre Lacoste and Tristan Robin make up the cast. In addition to the songs, the show features choreography by Patricia Delon, puppets by Mehdi Garrigues, and a visual design by Jérémy Nebot, in this adaptation geared toward a family-friendly outing.
The show lasts 1 hour 20 minutes with no intermission. Performances take place on Saturdays and Sundays, at 11:00 or 14:00 depending on the date. Extra shows are scheduled during school holidays, with times at 11:00, 14:00 or 16:30. Seats are numbered and prices range from 25 to 50 euros. The venue does not admit children under 3.
