And don’t miss the show, written, directed and composed by Fred Radix, is staged at the Théâtre de la Gaîté Montparnasse from September 21, 2026 to May 25, 2027. This musical comedy runs for 1 hour 30 minutes with no intermission and is suitable for audiences aged 8 and up.
The story unfolds on December 19, 1978, at a community cinema club. Marie-Jo and Anita, two ushers, get the audience settled when an incident interrupts the screening. To keep the crowd in check, they improvise, while Amédée, the projectionist, and Barnabé, a young usher, scramble to sort out the snag backstage.
Tonight becomes a frame for confidences and songs, drawn from the trades that typically drive the screenings. Patricia Samuel, Guillaume Destrem, Eléonore Duizabo and Simon Parmentier bring the characters to life. Lucas Le Jallé designs the costumes and Brendan Ledelliou choreographs the dances.
The theater is located at 26 Rue de la Gaîté, Paris 14th. Ticket prices are 28, 35 and 42 euros, depending on the category, with assigned seating.
