The Safa Brothers roll out a new musical landmark with Pocahontas, the Musical, arriving at the Théâtre Gaité Rive Gauche from September 19, 2026 to May 30, 2027. Following Sherlock Holmes, the Musical Adventure and Puss in Boots, the Musical, they here revisit the famous Native American legend in a family show blending song, dance and immersive technology.
The story takes us back to the early 17th century, to the heart of the Powhatan tribe. The fragile peace of this people is disrupted by the arrival of English settlers. The meeting between Pocahontas and John Smith becomes the point of convergence between two worlds that are polar opposites. Between adventure, romance, and a quest for self-discovery, this creation explores the dialogue between cultures and the sacred connection to nature.
The staging incorporates immersive sets, interactive projections, and holograms designed to plunge the audience into the heart of the story. Thomas Bimai's choreography energizes the stage, while Samuel Safa's original songs heighten the emotion of key scenes. Guillaume Janon is responsible for the lighting, Harold Simon for the video sets, and Marie-Caroline Behue for the costumes, together creating a coherent and colorful stage universe.
On stage, Cerise Calixte and Meva Andria play Pocahontas, alongside Simon Catrice, Timothée Man, Christophe Mai, Paul Gosselin, Melina Mariale, Helena Wentch, Sebastiao Saramago, and Alexis Mahi. Musicians Naïé Dutrieux, Jessica Laurès, and Maholy Guéroult accompany the troupe live, enhancing the musical dimension of the show.
Designed for all audiences aged 3 and up, Pocahontas, the Musical runs Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00 PM, and every day during school holidays. The show is on at the Théâtre Gaité Rive Gauche until May 30, 2027. Duration: 1 hour 10 minutes with no intermission. Tickets from €25 to €50, with reserved seating.
