La Valise : Sophie Forte shares stories about her family at Théâtre Essaïon

An old suitcase inherited from her uncle André holds hundreds of photographs. Sophie Forte presents La Valise, a solo show staged at the Théâtre Essaïon, on Saturdays at 8:50 p.m. through January 16, 2027.

These pictures span several generations of her family, from Italian great-grandparents to her daughters. The comedian assembles a gallery of loved ones: her parents, an aunt, a Neapolitan grandfather, an uncle, not forgetting the family dog Gerry. Her father Max, a taxi driver turned painter, features prominently in this journey through memories.
