Science Festival 2026: Exploring chemical transformations in the kitchen at Chimie ParisTech

On Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4, 2026, the Fête de la Science is back at Chimie ParisTech. A weekend of activities to discover this Parisian engineering school, for families or friends.

The Fête de la Science 2026 returns to Paris from October 2 to 12, offering a wealth of free activities for people of all ages. On this occasion, Chimie ParisTech will open its doors on Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4, 2026, with a special day devoted to chemistry. Through hands-on workshops, interactive demonstrations and talks with scientists, visitors will discover the world of research and science in a new light, right at the heart of the engineering school in Paris.

It has to be said that the Fête de la Science is a not-to-be-missed event for young and old alike, offering fun activities and events at universities, research centers and science museums, often free of charge. The program is so wide-ranging that it's hard not to find a fascinating theme to discover or explore. A great event for all the family, but not only!

What’s on the agenda for the 2026 Science Festival at Chimie ParisTech:

  • A Journey to the Heart of the Properties of Our Foods

     
    On 3 and 4 October, the student association of Chimie ParisTech – PSL for science outreach, Le Cercle, invites you to a unique program dedicated to the sciences and open to everyone: experiments, talks, and workshops around the theme “Savvy Flavors.”
    This theme shines a light on cooking and food, and opens the door to many topics such as culinary chemistry, the chemical transformations of food, the physico‑chemical phenomena behind textures, and the scientific analysis of flavors.
     

    Participation requirements:
    • Target audiences: ages 6–11, 11–15, 15–18
    • Entry: Free admission

    Hours: Saturday, 3 October – 10:00 to 17:00
    Sunday, 4 October – 10:00 to 17:00
