Monument Jeu d'Enfant 2024: fun tours around Napoleon I at the Château de Rambouillet

The Château de Rambouillet is taking part in the Monument Jeu d'Enfant 2024 event, organizing fun workshops and tours for the whole family on October 19 and 20, 2024.

Do you know the Château de Rambouillet and its sheepfold? Discover this former royal and imperial residence, surrounded by its lush forest. The monument opens its doors free of charge to the curious, who wish to explore this magnificent medieval fortress, which has survived the centuries by transforming itself according to the fashions and needs of the sovereigns of France. This remarkable castle welcomes us for a weekend of activities, as part of Monument Jeu d'Enfant.

This October 2024, we're once again taking advantage of Monument Jeu d'Enfant, the big cultural event for little ones. This national event, organized by the Centre des Monuments Nationaux, opens the doors of numerous monuments throughout France, allowing children and their parents to visit them free of charge. What's more, the whole event is rounded off withfun and educationalworkshops andactivities for the whole family!

Napoleon, what a story!
Take your family on a journey in the footsteps of Napoleon I at the Château de Rambouillet! On the program: two activities for young and old alike to get to know the Emperor, discover his fully restored private apartment and, above all, have fun!

- TELL ME NAPOLEON!
  Visit followed by an indoor storytelling session. Accompanied by sweet Hortense, the youngest visitors discover the daily life of an emperor, then sit back and enjoy his most delightful stories.

- NAPOLEON AT THE TABLE!
  Visit followed by a ceramic painting workshop. Take the whole family on a tour of Napoleon's private apartment in Rambouillet, with its fine neo-classical decor. Then join in the fun of a ceramic painting workshop! Who's going to make the prettiest plate to remind us, as Napoleon did, who's the emperor at home?
