Contes et Histoires 2023 in Paris: discover the Story of the Blue Diamond at the Hôtel de la Marine

Contes et Histoires is the event imagined by the Centre des Monuments Nationaux to offer families an enriched program ofactivities and unusual tours for children, during the Christmas vacations. For this year's event, theHôtel de la Marine will be on hand at weekends from December 16, 2023 to January 7, 2024. The monument, located on Place de la Concorde in the 8th arrondissement, has prepared a full program for visitors of all ages. Tours, storytelling, workshops, discoveries: there's plenty to keep you entertained over the Christmas vacations.

The Hôtel de la Marine reveals its rich history, lets us admire its collections ofworks of art and precious objects, and entertains us with playful workshops that will leave lasting memories for your little ones.

Each weekend brings its own unique attractions, and here's a detailed program:
Storytelling "Les voyages du Diamant bleu" in the salons d'apparat
In the salons d'apparat, children and their parents are invited to discover the incredible destiny of the blue diamond, from India to the United States. Covering almost 300 years of history, the story introduces us to a host of characters, events and anecdotes.

The epic of the potato

From the Andes, its land of origin, to its discovery in the 18th century during the great expeditions to European tables, the potato is told today at the Hôtel de la Marine.

From ancient Egypt, let yourself be carried away by the story of Paris's oldest monument. Original creation with Marie-Laure Saint-Bonnet - Le Bal.
