Fête de la Science 2025: not-to-be-missed events in Montereau-Fault-Yonne (77)

Located in the former county of Gâtinais, at the confluence of the Yonne and Seine rivers, Montereau-Fault-Yonne is one of the most densely populated towns in Seine-et-Marne. The town boasts a museum dedicated to earthenware. But if we're running to Montereau-Fault-Yonne this autumn, it's not to tour the local cultural sites.

The commune is taking part in the latest edition of the Fête de la Science: from October 3 to 13, 2025, numerous events, visits and workshops are being organized at various points around the town.

Every year, the Fête de la Science brings together the curious, young and old, with free events for the general public. The aim of this cultural event is to showcase French scientists and their work, while giving visitors a chance to learn more about the different disciplines involved in science.

France's museums, schools, libraries, laboratories and scientific sites are opening their doors to children and adults alike, for 10 days of surprises and discoveries. Here's what's waiting for you in Montereau-Fault-Yonne.
