When it comes to finding an original activity for families, there's plenty to do in Meaux! For children ready to get their hands dirty, the Musée Bossuet, dedicated to the city's art and history and housed in a former episcopal palace, is offering a gargoyle workshop this Thursday, October 30, 2025.
This cultural and artistic activity invites youngsters to create their own clay gargoyles! Aimed at 6 to 12 year-olds, this workshop begins with an observation of the gargoyles that adorn Saint-Etienne Cathedral, before getting down to the task of creating their own chimerical creature. Please note that reservations are required for this workshop!
For the little ones, it's a fun way to discover an important part of our heritage. For older visitors, it's also a good excuse to (re)discover this astonishing museum, which also houses a French garden designed by André Le Nôtre (yes, the master landscape gardener of the Château de Versailles), and to stroll through the Episcopal city to experience a real immersion in history. After all, it's one of Seine-et-Marne' s finest heritage treasures!
