The Petit Palais welcomes you on the weekend of December 6 and 7, 2025, to celebrate Finland's national holiday and offers a program centered around the Moomins for the occasion. While the current exhibition highlights this northern country, the famous hippopotamus-like trolls, created by writer and illustrator Tove Jansson, have concocted numerous activities to delight families and children, with the added bonus of free admission!
This adorable family, celebrating its 80th anniversary, consists of Moominpappa, Moominmamma, and their son Moomintroll, who live in Moominvalley, an imaginary valley overlooking the Gulf of Finland. During this weekend, from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., younger visitors will be able to meet them, but alsoenjoy workshops, cartoon screenings, and other activities suitable for children aged 3 and up, without reservation but subject to availability.
Admission to the exhibition is free for children under 17, but adults must pay between €15 and €17.
The Moomin mascots await you for an unforgettable encounter.
Winter can be long in the Moomin Valley. Get ready with coloring pages, drawings, and other little games from the Moomin universe.
Immerse yourself in everyday winter life in Moomin Valley with a screening of several episodes of the animated series.
Sit back in your chair and listen to an actor recount some of the Moomins' adventures. Story told by Maximilien Morgan, actor and director of the LAMA collective.
Visit the exhibition on your own and discover the story of Pyry, the turbulent snowflake, for ages 6-10, in the galleries.
