The Château de Vaux le Vicomte welcomes us for the All Saints' Day vacation 2023

For the All Saints' vacation period, from October 21 to November 5, 2023, the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte is focusing on a family program featuring free costumed tours, fun activities and immersive trails.

Located less than an hour from Paris, the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, a true 17th-century masterpiece, is the perfect place for a family outing just outside Paris!

Young visitors can discover the incredible architecture of the dome, the painted decorations by Charles Le Brun, and the immense French gardens designed by landscape gardener André Le Nôtre.

For the All Saints' vacation period, from October 21 to November 5, 2023, the château is offering children princess and musketeer costumes for an unforgettable costumed tour. Costumes are free for children. Adults wishing to dress up will be asked to pay the modest sum of six euros.

We'll also be taking the opportunity to (re)discover Le Styx, rivière des Enfers, a lovely adventure in the meanders of the earth. An exceptional adventure in the underground river diverted by Le Nôtre in 1654 to create the French gardens. A fun, interactive tour based on Jean de la Fontaine's poetic novel "Les amours de Psyché et Cupidon". Equipped with headlamps and waders, visitors must overcome a series of tests of agility and logic: a unique and intense adventure narrated by professional actors.

Curious young and old alike can also immerse themselves in the history of Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte with the immersive sound tour, which looks back at the creation of the château and the life of NIcolas Fouquet, viscount of Vaux (price included in ticket). The château also offers a living, immersive reconstruction of the kitchens of François Vatel, the famous 17th-century maître d'hôtel, with the animation"Vatel, behind the scenes at the party".
